Activities of Shabwa book fair concluded

The activities of Shabwa Book Fair concluded on Tuesday in the presence of local authorities.

The deputy governor of Shabwa Ahmad al-Daghari, a number of general directors and social figures in the province attended the cultural ceremony.

The Secretary General of local council in the province Abd-Rabbu Hashlah said “this cultural event confirms the importance of book in people’s lives despite the great development of technology and modern means of communication”.

For his part, the Director of Culture Office Mohammed Al-Ahmadi pointed to a number of cultural activities in the fair, such as intellectual lectures, literary and historical poetry and the popular art of al-Dan.
