Saudi Demining Project in Yemen “MASAM” announced on Sunday that its field teams managed to remove 1329 Houthi-laid mines during the third week of May.

Director General of MASAM project Osama Al-Kusaibi said the demining teams removed 44 anti-individual, 586 anti-tanks mines and 676 unexploded ammunitions and 23 explosive devices from different areas of Yemen.

Al-Kusaibi added that the field teams have removed 8149 mines and explosives since the beginning of the current month, May.

Since its establishment, MASAM has already demined 71868  mines and explosives planted by Iran-backed Houthi militiamen in different parts of Yemen.
