The artillery forces of the national army shelled positions of Houthi militia in the west of Taiz province, early Tuesday morning.

The shelling targeted sites and gatherings of Houthi rebels in Maqbanah and Jabal Habashi districts, killing and wounding several militia elements and destroying a number of their combat vehicles.

In addition, the army troops repulsed an attack carried out by Houthi militia in Han mountain western Taiz.

The army forced the militia to flee after inflicting them heavy losses in life and supplies.
