National army forces made new progress on Thursday after fierce battles against Houthi militia in the north of Al-Dhale province.

The military forces liberated the strategic mountains of Samah and Kasbat al-Dar as well as  the areas of Shakhb al-Qafla and Bab Ghulq in Qatabah district.

The army continues to advance towards the areas of Ibb province, west Qatabah district, amid collapses in the ranks of the Houthi rebels.

Tens of Houthi militiamen were killed and wounded and also a number of their combat vehicles were destroyed during the battles.

Moreover, the army troops shot down Iranian made Houthi militia drone in Bajah area northwestern Al-Dhale.

In the past few days, the army forces have downed a number of drones in Al-Dhale province the last of which was last Monday in the area of ​​Ghaul Sabulah.
