Army artillery bombs Houthi positions west of Taiz

National Army artillery on Sunday fired heavy artillery at the positions of Houthi militia in the western part of Taiz province in the southwest of the country.

The artillery shelling hit the militia’s positions and crowds in Al-Madrajat and Al-Karea’ hills, in the western province, resulted in the destruction of combat vehicle.

The army artillery also shelled a command room for the Houthi militia in Al-Zabia Hill, resulting in killing and wounding a number of militiamen including leaders.

In the same context, the army forces carried artillery bombing targeted two vehicles for the militia in the 50th area, killing eight elements including their leader so-called Abu Radad.

In parallel with the bombardment, the national army forces engaged on Sunday in fierce battles with the Houthi militia, west of Taiz, during which dozens of militiamen were killed and injured.

The national army forces are continuing military operations launched Friday for liberating the whole province of the besieged Taiz from the rebels Houthi militia.
