Minister of Local Administration, Chairman of High Relief Committee—Abbduraqeeb Fatah said ” It is time to put an end of the putschist Houthi militia’s repeated violations against relief and humanitarian actions”.

He blamed International Community’s passivity toward the militia’s atrocities against relief operation. ” Yemeni peoples’ suffering in the militia controlled should be alleviated, it is unfair to leave them for their fate whilstInternational Community (IC) appears to be either powerless or shamefully turns blind-eye on the militia’s violations”, said Fatah.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) he said the government had submitted several practical solutions to the interested international organizations and donors to deliver relief and humanitarian aids easily, safely, quickly, with least cost. ” Some UN’s organizations have already endorsed such solutions, by decentralizing relief action, using seaport, airports in government-held governorates, relocating their offices in the temporary capital Aden”, Fatah said.

The Minister called on the UN-Undersecretary General for Emergency and Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lowcok and IC to act firmly against the militia’s violations.

Referring to Mr Mark Lowcock’s warning that UN’s agencies may suspend humanitarian aids if the militia doesn’t stop its violations against humanitarian actions the Minister said” This is not a solution, it will further exacerbate the populations’ suffering in the militia’s controlled regions”.
