MASAM removes 408 Houthi Mines during 4th week of May

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Project (KSrelief), MASAM for demining in Yemen, , removed 408 mines, during the fourth week of May 2019, planted by the Houthi militias.
The mines were extracted from several governorates of the country, including 19 anti-personnel mines, 112 anti-tank mines, 273 unexploded ordnance and 4 improvised explosive devices, reaching to 8,602 mines in May.
The statement pointed out that the total extracted mines since the start of the project to date amounted to 72,276 mines planted by Houthi militias in various civilians areas in Yemen, such as schools and homes, killing a large number of children, women and elderly, or resulting in amputations or serious injuries.
