The national army forces on Monday launched fierce ground attack on the positions and elements of the Houthi rebel militia stationed at the outskirts of Sameh region of Murais district, north of the southern province of Al-Dhale .

The assault killed and wounded a number of Houthi militia members, and forced the rest of them to retire and flee the fighting.
