Human Rights Ministry surprised at international silence towards Houthi crimes in Taiz city

The Office of Human Rights Ministry in Taiz has expressed its surprise at the silence maintained by the international community towards the Houthi militia’s violations of international humanitarian law and the militia’s atrocities against civilians in the city.
In a statement obtained by September Net, Office has strongly denounced the crimes that the Iran-backed Houthi militia has been committing against the population in Taiz city, including a 4-year-long oppressive siege imposed on the city by the militia and its daily indiscriminate shelling against the densely populated neighborhoods, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilian (males & females) of all ages.
The statement cited the Houthi rebels’ recent crime in Taiz where 16 children were killed and injured by the militia’s artillery shells and sniper shootings during the last 72 hours.
The statement called on local and international human rights organizations to document and condemn all crimes and violations against the population in Taiz province, and report about them in all global events in order to get criminals punished and to prevail justice for the victims.
