The Arab Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy has said that its air forces intercepted and downed a drone launched by the Houthi coup militia towards Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Coalition Spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said the drone was fired by Houthi militia from the north of the capital Sana’a towards Saudi Arabia, but was intercepted and downed in the Yemeni airspace.

He confirmed that the Houthi rebels is trying to target civilians and  facilities in desperate and repeated attempts without achieving any of their objectives.

Al-Maliki stressed that the coalition will continue to take deterrent measures against the insurgents in line with international humanitarian law.
