Defense Minister meets US Senators and MPs

Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Maqdashi met with a number of US senators and MPS to discuss the current situation in Yemen.
The discussions also focused on the threats posed by the Houthi militia to regional and international security.
The Defense Minister discussed with USA Representative “Will-Hurd” Houthi’s violations and its role in prolonging the war in Yemen.
At the USA House of Representatives, the Minister discussed with Indiana’s State Rep. “Pete Veskolsky” , the ongoing interventions used by Iran to undermining the chances of peace in Yemen.
They referring to militia’s terrorist acts regarding recruiting children, planting mines and explosive device randomly and in areas adjacent to populated districts, regardless of any human considerations.
Al-Maqdashi also discussed with Senator “Ron Johnson” , chairman of the USA Senate Homeland Security Committee, the threats posed by the Houthi militia to the region and the world.
The security and safety of international navigation was also reviewed .
Meanwhile, al-Maqdashi met with chairman of the USA Senate Homeland Security Committee Devin Nunes, exploring the ways of increasing security intelligence cooperation to combat terrorism.
During the meetings, Al-Maqdashi praised the positive role of the USA to support the Yemeni government led by His Excellency President of Republic Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Al-Maqdashi highlighted also USA efforts to restore the security and stability of Yemen and to confront the Iranian-backed Houthi militia that has captured the capabilities of the Yemeni state.
Meetings attended by Head of Yemen’s Military intelligence Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al-Yafei and Yemen’s Ambassador to Washington, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.
