Protesters condemn Houthi execution orders against abductees

A number of protesters staged a rally in Marib today to condemn the Houthi execution orders against peaceful oppositionists in the militia’s captivity in the capital Sana’a.
The sentenced captives are activists, politicians and academicians.
In a statement, the protesters including representatives from 18 civil society organizations deplored in the strongest terms the execution orders against the activists who had been subject to torture in the militia’s jails for years.
They called on the UN Security Council, the UN Human Rights Council and the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to stop these orders and to bear their responsibility in preserving the rights of the abductees who, according to the latest (Stockholm) peace deal, should be freed.
