National army repels Houthi attacks in Hodeidah

National army repulsed on Tuesday an attack carried out by Iran-backed Houthi militia in the south of Hodeidah province, western Yemen.

For the second time in 24 hours, the Houthi militia attempted to advance towards army’s positions in al-Gabaleah area in the district of Tohaita.

The army managed to thwart the Houthis’ attack and forced them to flee, after inflicting casualties in their ranks.

Moreover, the Houthi militia intensified its attacks on the sites of the national army in Durayhimi district.

The Houthi militia fired Katyusha rockets and mortar shells on army’s positions in the south of Durayhimi district.

The Houthi militia continues to target the positions of the national army in Hodeidah province, while the military forces adhere to the UN truce in accordance with the directives of political and military leadership.
