Shabwah’s Governor Mohammed Bin-Saleh Eidew praised the gains scored by armed and security forces to deter the coup carried out by the Southern Transitional Council militias with the full support of the UAE.
In a statement issued Sunday, the Governor made it clear that the local authority in Shabwah did its best to avoid confrontations in response to appeasement call by Saudi Arabia but the rebelled militia proceeded with its agenda and military escalation.
“What so-called STC carried out sabotage acts directed against state institutions, the public interest and aimed also to halt work of oil companies, greatly threatening current investment in the area and serving a blow to the return of foreign companies to the Yemeni oil sector”, the Governor referred.
He also said we have extended our hand to all our brothers from all parties that we are all partners in this country, but the rebels have met with arms in our faces.”
The governor hailed all those who laid down their arms and refused orders to fight against their brothers.
He explained that they did not choose this war, did not wish to take place, and made all concessions, but the other party closed each door and mobilized all his forces.
He said that the government’s plan to counter the Iranian militia of Houthis is the consensus battle of all the Yemeni people, adding coups cloned from the Houthi coup are doomed to failure.
Historically, say that Shabwah comes out of every crisis more powerful and united, and our people and leadership won the bet on the ground.
