Def. Minister inaugurates Joint Operations Headquarters in Marib

Yemen’s Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Mqdashi along with Marib’s Governor Maj. Gen. Sultan Al-Erada, inaugurated Wednesday the headquarters of the Army’s Joint Operations Command in Marib Province.

Arab’s Coalition Commander in Marib Maj. Gen. Hamdan Al-Shammari, attended the inauguration event also.

Commander of Joint Operations, Maj. Gen. Saghir Bin Aziz, briefed Al-Mqdashi on the ongoing developments of the army’s units in the different battlefield to confront Houthi militias and ultra-groups.

He conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and his deputy, Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh, stressing leadership’s support to steps of reconstructing military institution according to national bases and avoid past mistakes.

“Houthi militia has taken Yemeni Army’s capabilities to serve its destructive projects and Iranian subversive plans”, the minister pointed out.

For his part, Marib’s Governor praised great sacrifices made by army troops against Houthi militias, noting Yemenis stand with their armed forces until liberate every inch of the homeland.

Al-Mqdashi honored the Arab’s Coalition Commander in Marib Maj. Gen. Hamdan Al-Shammari, at the end of his term, and was given the armour of the Yemeni armed forces for his key efforts in supporting Yemen’s national army in its combat operations against the Houthi militia.
