Several elements in the Iran-backed Houthi militia were killed on Tuesday in clashes with national army forces in Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen.

The clashes broke out after the Houthi militants attempted to infiltrate into army’s positions in the area of al-Shabakah in the north of Abs district.

The army troops thwarted the militia’s infiltration attempt and forced its elements to flee.

In the context, dozens of Houthi militiamen were killed and injured during clashes with army troops in several areas of the province.
