Minister of Information Mua’mar al-Iryani has said that the Iran-backed Houthi militia continues looting food assistances provided by World Food Program to a number of government institutions’ employees, including al-Thawra Corporation for Journalism and Press.

” A number of al-Thawra Corporations’ employees in Sana’a unveiled receiving phone calls from World Food Program for the second time confirming arrival of their food portions,” said al-Iryani in a statement to Saba News Agency.

“They confirmed not receiving any allocations for the three past months despite publishing the issue by media months ago on systematic looting of their portions during the past months.”

Al-Iryani demanded the WFP to reconsider its activities in Houthi-held areas and evaluate broker organizations’ performance, mostly under Houthi control, pointing to working on providing the humanitarian assistances to the needy people.
