Prime Minister Ma’een Abdulmalik has called upon the United Nations not to act blind after the Houthis attacked the government’s representatives in a ceasefire committee with unmanned drones and ballistic missiles in Hodeidah on Sunday.
The theocratic rebel militia attacked the residence of the governmental team in the Red Sea port city on Sunday but fortunately no one was hurt.
In a phone conversation with the head of the government’s representatives team in the ceasefire and troop Redeployment Coordination Committee Mohammed Aydha, the Prime Minister checked on the safety status of the surviving officials but urged the UN, as the sponsor of peace arrangements in the city, to pressure the militia to end their hostilities.
He said the non-stopping Houthi violations of the Hodeidah Agreement are typical of Houthis as habitual violators of ceasefire and peace agreements.
