A field leader in the Iran-backed Houthi militia was killed along with a number of his escorts in an ambush set up by national army forces in the north of Sa’ada province on Thursday.

The national army forces launched sudden attack on a group of Houthi militants in the mountain of Shehat in Baqem district.

The army’s attack resulted in the killing of the militia’s field leader known as Al-Mortadha Ali Alshareef, Abo Tankeel along with nine of his escorts.
