Dep. Premier, French Ambassador discuss developments in Yemen

Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior Eng. Ahmed al-Mayssari met in Muscat with French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testu.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in Yemen including the UN-led efforts to make peace.
Al-Mayssari made it clear that the government is keen to put an end of the war and make peace that is based on the three terms of reference above all the International Security Council resolution 2216.
The minister noted that Iran-allied Houthi militia doesn’t seek for peace, this is clearly evidenced in all consultations have been done so for.
The French diplomat reiterated his country’s support for the Yemeni legitimate government, underscoring the importance of implementing Riyadh Agreement.
Testu affirmed that his country is a real partner of the Yemeni government and it is going to do more efforts to support the Yemeni government and people.
Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Sultanate of Oman Dr. Khaled bin Shoteif was in attendance.
