Several elements in the Iran-backed Houthi militia were killed and wounded on Friday in an ambush carried out by the national army forces in the north of al-Dhale province, south of Yemen.

The army forces launched sudden attack on a group of Houthi rebels, who were trying to infiltrate towards liberated sites in Bab Ghalk area, west of Qatabah district.

The army’s attack resulted in the killing and wounding of several Houthi militants and forcing the rest elements to flee towards al-Fakher area eastern of Al-Dhale.

In the context, the army thwarted an infiltration attempt launched by the Houthi militia towards the liberated sites of al-Qahrah and Waynan, north of Maris district.

The army troops inflicted the Houthi rebels heavy casualties and forced them to flee.
