A number of elements in the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia were killed in clashes with national army forces in the northeast of Taiz province on Wednesday.

Colonel Abdulbasset Al-Bahr said to September Net that a group of Houthi militants were killed after trying to sneak into liberated sites in al-Arba’een area.

Al-Bahr added that the army forces managed to thwart the militia’s infiltration attempt and forced them to flee.

“The Houthi rebels suffered in the past few days great human losses including field leaders, most notably Abdullah Obel, Muhammad al-Qa`ud, and Ali Abdulaziz al-Shara’e,” he revealed.

In the context, the national army forces shot down today’s early morning a drone fired by the Houthi militia in al-Dhabab front, western Taiz.
