Military Spokesman: Houthi militia suffers heavy losses in Sana’a, Jawf, Bayda

Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier Abdu Mujali said the Iran-backed Houthi militia suffered major losses in life and equipment during ongoing battles on various warfronts in Sana’a, Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda provinces.

In a statement to the army’s news website, September Net, the spokesman said in the past hours the army forces, backed by fighter jets of Coalition to support legitimacy, launched successful military operation resulted in the liberation of Jarshab mountain chains from Houthi militia eastern the capital Sana’a.

A number of Houthi militiamen were killed, others injured and the rest fled, he added.

The army also, Mujali said, foiled militia’s infiltration bids aimed at disrupting the Al-Jaw-Marib main road.

He said the army’s air defenses shot down two militia’s drones in Nihm east of Sana’a and on Marib’s suburbs.

The spokesman pointed out that Houthi militia fired last night a missile on a mosque located near the Special Forces in Marib city and that five persons were injured as result.

He said the Houthi militia have escalated their attacks on mosques, densely populated areas and civilian objects due to the painful blows suffered by its elements on warfronts.

He affirmed that the heroes of the armed forces possess high spirit and morale and maintain loyalty to complete liberation the rest of the soil of the precious homeland from Houthi militia and terror groups.

Brigadier Mujali has called on the International Red Cross to pull out bodies of the militia killed in the fighting.

He also demanded media outlets to be accurate and to get information from official sources and to be aware of lies and rumors the Houthi militia’s media spread in an attempt to hide its successive defeats.
