Yemeni armed forces liberated on Tuesday strategic areas in Al-Malajim front eastern Al-Bayda province, following a fierce attack on positions of Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia.
The commander of 19th Brigade, Brig. Gen. Ali Al-Kulibi confirmed in a statement to September Net that the army troops regained control of several positions in the road junction of Asshar and Wadi Fadhaha in Al- Wahabeah front.
The army also liberated the mountain range of Al-Shaheed, Al-Laban and Al-Ghadir, which link the road junction of Asher and Wadi Fadhah, he added.
Brig. Gen. Al-Kulibi explained that the clashes coincided with intensive air strikes by warplanes of Arab Coalition on Houthi militia reinforcements coming from Al-Swadiah district towards Al-Malajim front.
He pointed out that the army artillery shelled the positions of Houthi militia in the same front, causing heavy losses in both personnel and combat vehicles
