Yemen’s armed forces on Saturday defeated an attack by the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia on various fronts.

The army succeeded to thwart Houthi militia attack attempts in the Nihm front, east of the capital Sana’a, and in Qaniya front, in the north of Al-Bayda province, causing heavy losses to the militia.

Meanwhile, the Houthi rebel militia continued to push human and combat reinforcements to those fronts.

The army continues to follow the orders of the President Hadi, to ceasefire in response to the call of the UN.
