Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Muhammad al-Maqdashi updated the Cabinet on the ongoing military and field developments in light of the continuation escalation by Houthi militia in  Al-Jawf, Sana’a and Al-Bayda provinces and its failure to adhere  with the ceasefire announced by the government and the Coalition in response to UN calls to unite efforts to confront the Corona epidemic.

In a virtual session held Thursday presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ma’een Abdulmalik, paid a tribute to the sacrifices achieved by army’s heroes, the Popular Resistance and the Tribesmen in countering repeated Houthi attacks on various fronts in a clear insistence on blocking UN peace moves and efforts to end the war.

Al-Maqdash briefed the  Cabinet also about the operation has carried out by the army and security forces, backed by Obeida’s tribesmen in Marib al-Wadi district, to arrest subversive elements outside the law that were directly linked to the Houthi militia and carry out terrorist operations.

Army and tribesmen have stopped  a major Houthi plan aims to destabilize security and stability in Marib through documents found containing the names of the parties and persons associated with this cell led by Mohsen Saleh Sobaian.
