Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Baoom has demanded a unified international stand against the persistent Houthi harassment of aid organizations in the regions the rebel militia still control.
Participating in the 67th virtual session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, Baoom said the militia’s harassments disrupted the organization’s missions and caused once eradicated diseases like infant polio to make a come back in the provinces of Saada, Hajjah and elsewhere.
He called on the international community to help the government as it struggles to maintain providing health services to all Yemeni regions without exception and counter the scourge of coronavirus.
