Army spokesman calls on UN to classify Houthi militia as terrorist group

Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Abdo Mugali said that Houthi militia is keeping on criminality, targeting civilians, calling on UN and international organizations to classify Houthi militia as a terrorist group.

Moreover, Mugali appealed to UN to fulfil its responsibilities to protect civilians in various Yemeni provinces, condemn the crimes, terrorist acts committed by the Houthi militia.

Houthi militia on Friday afternoon fired a ballistic missile hit on a civilian building in Marib city, causing material damage, and panic among citizens.

The Houthi militia continues to violate the international humanitarian law by indiscriminately firing ballistic missiles that fall on civilians and residential areas, Mugali said.
