The family of the Yemeni journalist Tawfiq Al-Mansouri has appealed to journalists and defenders of freedom of expression and human rights to help for saving the lives of Al-Mansouri and other fellow journalists held in Houthi militia prisons since 2015.

Al-Mansouri suffers from asthma, shortness of breath, heart rheumatism, diabetes, prostate, and, more recently, the appearance of symptoms of kidney failure, as stated by his family.

Houthi militia has been denying him access to medical care and was prevented from visiting. As a result, his health deteriorated further, and his life became more at risk, as said by his family.

Al-Mansouri was forcibly disappeared several times for various periods of time and was subjected to various forms of brutal psychological and physical torture. Al-Mansouri’s family blamed the Houthis in Sanaa for his life and health, demanding his immediate release.
