Yemen’s armed forces late on Saturday launched a surprise attack on the positions of Iran-backed Houthi militia northern axis of Al-Jawf province.

The head of operations of the 1st Brigade Border Guards, Col. Othman Al-Shiaf, confirmed to September Net that the army succeeded late on Saturday in launching an attack on Houthi militia’s sites, liberating and recapturing key positions.

He added that the army’s attack resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of militiamen and the rest of them escaped.
