Army’s engineering teams dismantled 2872 landmines and improvised explosive devices left by the Houthi terrorist militia during the past years in the eastern province of Shabwah.

The Director of the National Mine Action Program Ameen Al-Aqeeli said that the program’s experts “dismantled in two stages 2872 landmines, anti-personnel and anti-vehicle, in addition to missiles and UXOs.”

He said that “vast swaths of land have been purged from the mine contamination” but “the work is ongoing” to clear even more territories.
