Yemeni armed forces’ spokesman, Brig. Gen. Abdo Mugali, confirmed that the army’s operations in various areas, axes and fronts have thwarted the plans of the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

He pointed out that the army in Taiz, Al-Jawf and Marib has made progress on the ground, and the militia suffered heavy losses in its elements and combat equipment.

Army and popular resistance in Taiz, Marib and Al-Jawf fronts had launched combat battles, well- planned attacks, and made important advances, controlling strategic positions, Brig. Gen. Mugali added.

The spokesman thanked the Saudi-led Arab coalition for the aerial cover they provide to the Yemeni army combatants on the ground.
