 A number of the Houthi rebel militia were killed and injured Friday in battles with Yemeni armed forces (YAF) in the southwestern province of Taiz.

YAF targeted a group of Houthi militiamen who tried to infiltrate west of the province, killing and injuring a number of them and forcing the rest to retreat.  Four Houthi militiamen were killed and others injured today when two explosive devices planted by the militia earlier exploded west of the same province.
