KSrelief Center’s Demining Project in Yemen “MASAM” managed to take out 2,231 of Houthi militia-laid landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the 4th week of December 2021.

MASAM reported that 1,399 anti-tank mines and 801 unexploded ordnance and 20 explosive devices were removed, brought the number of mines removed in December to 8,059.

The center noted that 298,412 mines had been cleared since the beginning of the ‘MASAM’ project, planted by the Houthi militia.

The Houthi militiamen planted, continued to do, hundreds of landmines in different Yemeni regions.
