PM chairs meeting of leadership of local authority and executive office in Aden
Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik chaired a meeting that included the leadership of the local authority and a number of executive office managers in Aden, to find out the conditions, concerns and needs of citizens, and the mechanisms to improve the level of basic services.
The meeting reviewed the security, service and development conditions in the interim capital, Aden, and its priorities for the current and next phase, in particular improving electricity and water services, and the challenges in various aspects and mechanisms to address them, foremost of which are those related to the daily life and livelihood of citizens.
The Prime Minister listened to an explanation from the Minister of State, Governor of Aden, and a number of directors of executive offices, about the efforts of the local authority in dealing with the existing difficulties in the field of electricity, in addition to the level of implementation of public works projects, roads, water and sanitation. Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik stressed the importance of concerted central and local efforts towards developing sustainable solutions for the services file in the interim capital and the liberated governorates.
He urged the acceleration of implementing the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the projects it approved with regard to electricity and service and development projects approved for the interim capital, Aden.
The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s support for the leadership of the local authority in all its steps and measures to improve the level of basic services provided to citizens, given that the work is complementary and exceptional in these circumstances.
