President al-Alimi receives Australian State Minister
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi confirmed openness of the council and the government to all efforts aiming at realizing peace and ending humanitarian suffering made by Iran-backed Houthi militia.
Receiving Australian State Minister for Foreign Affairs Tim Wats on Wednesday, President al-Alimi said responsibilities of the international community must be doubled to implement resolutions of the international legitimacy and end suffering of Yemeni people and grand violations to human rights and international law, including oppressive measures against private sector and chains imposed on movements of goods and persons by the militia.
He pointed out to integration efforts with good efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations for renewing the truce and releasing inclusive peace process in accordance with the internationally agreed upon references.
He reviewed latest developments in Yemen and needed international support to enhance reforms process made by the council and the government, praising Australian support to the Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen, hoping more improvement of the mutual relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Australian state minister confirmed his country’s support to the Presidential Leadership Council and the government and support to all regional and international efforts to stop the war and regaining security and stability in Yemen.
