President Al-Alimi bids farewell to British Ambassador, praises support for people’s aspirations

President Al-Alimi received British Ambassador Oppenheim for a farewell meeting.
They discussed bilateral relations, peace efforts, and the need for international pressure pressure to push the Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime to deal seriously with efforts to renew the armistice and resume the political process, according to the terms of reference agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally.
President Al-Alimi praised Britain’s position in the Security Council and Ambassador Oppenheim’s role in strengthening relations.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, and Chargé d’Affaires of the British Embassy to Yemen, Charles Hooper.
