Ambassador Al-Sunaini discusses with Japanese official strengthening bilateral relations
The Yemeni Ambassador to Tokyo, Adel Al-Sunaini, discussed with the Assistant Foreign Minister and Head of the Middle East and Africa Department at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Kansuke Nagaoka, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, developments in Yemen and raising levels of support provided by the Japanese government.
Ambassador Al-Sunaini praised the advanced bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the political, economic, development and humanitarian fields..expressing the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the support provided by Japan in various fields as well as to mitigate the effects of the humanitarian crisis..appreciating Japan’s position and efforts to support the peace process in Yemen.
Ambassador Al-Sunaini reviewed the latest developments in our country, praising Japan’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council, stressing the Council’s keenness to establish peace by supporting the peace process led by the United Nations through the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, based on the three recognized references and Security Council resolutions on top of that is Resolution 2216.
Ambassador Al-Sunaini also touched on the food crisis and its reflection on the food situation in Yemen, which has become more threatened than ever, and addressed the urgent needs and requirements to achieve economic stability and contribute to reconstruction.
