Yemeni Armed Forces Thwart Houthi Drone Attack on Safer Oil Facility

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced today that the Iranian-backed Houthi militias launched a reckless attack on the Safer oil facility in Marib Governorate, deploying three explosive-laden suicide drones in a desperate attempt to damage this essential civilian infrastructure.

In a statement from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, it was revealed that the attack took place at 3:26 AM. The Houthi militias targeted the Safer oil facility with three winged suicide drones equipped with highly explosive materials.

The Armed Forces confirmed that these hostile drones were launched from an area between Duhaydah and Qarn al-Suyari, east of Al-Hazm city in Al Jawf province, which is under Houthi control.

The Armed Forces successfully intercepted the drones before they could reach their target, emphasizing their readiness to respond to any actions that threaten the interests of the Yemeni people and the country’s vital economic facilities.
