Defense Minister Let. Gen. Mohsen Al-Daari held a broad meeting with the leadership of the Second Military Region, unit leaders, and heads of departments in Mukalla City of Hadhramaut province

The Minister highlighted the urgent need to combat the smuggling of arms, hashish, and drugs, which are often facilitated by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

He stressed the region’s critical role in securing the coast and preventing these illicit activities.

To bolster military justice and discipline, the Minister inaugurated a new building for the military court and prosecution. He also inspected a military hospital and laid the foundation stone for an officers’ lounge and accommodation project.
