Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari on Wednesday met the UK Ambassador to Yemen Abda Sharif and British military attaché Col Jonathan Frame

Talks went over the latest situation in Yemen against the backdrop of the regional developments and continued Houthi attacks on trade vessels and shipping lanes and the Iranian regime’s continued smuggling of weapons and drugs to the terrorist militia.

Al-Daari reiterated that the security of maritime navigation and stability of the region depends on backing the Yemeni armed forces to militarily defeat the terrorist militia and restore the hijacked state institutions.

He noted that Yemenis’ long experiences with the terrorist theocratic militia show that the militia’s beliefs and ideology are at odds with peace, no matter what concessions are offered to this militia.
