In a statement to Asharq Al-Awsat Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari confirmed that the armed forces are fully prepared to confront threats from the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

He noted that the Houthis have continued to escalate tensions by rejecting peace initiatives, which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and disrupted international shipping routes.

Al-Daari emphasized that the responsibility for this escalation lies solely with the Houthis, prompting international sanctions against them.

He assured that all military units are unified and ready to respond effectively to any potential threats, reaffirming their commitment to restore state institutions and maintain regional security.
