The Military Appeals Court in Marib began the trial of a Houthi terrorist cell led by Bassem Abdu Ali Al-Samet.

The cell faces charges of espionage, disclosure of defense secrets, and assassinations of military and civilian leaders.

In June 2023, the Primary Military Court sentenced Al-Samet to death and imposed prison terms on other defendants.

The court reviewed the indictment, initial verdict, and appeals submitted by the defendants.

The case was adjourned for a ruling on the prosecution’s objection regarding the appeal deadline.
