US condemns Houthi terrorist attack in the Red Sea

The United States has strongly condemned the attack by the Houthi terrorist militia targeting the commercial vessel Magic Seas as it was peacefully transiting the Red Sea en route to Egypt.

 

In an official statement, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen stated that it was the latest in a series of reckless attacks on commercial ships and civilian crews in the Red Sea over the last eighteen months.

 

The Embassy emphasiz1ed that these attacks pose a threat to global maritime security and international trade, and risk environmental damage to this vital waterway which could devastating Yemen’s fishing industry.
