Armed Forces Repel Attack by Houthi Militia West of Taiz

Yemeni Armed Forces thwarted a violent attack launched on Friday evening by the Iran-backed Houthi militia on military positions on the western front of Taiz Governorate.
A military source told September Net that intense clashes erupted around sunset after Houthi militia elements attempted to infiltrate and attack army positions at the Old Airport frontline.
The source added that the Armed Forces managed to repel the militia’s attack and attempt to achieve a field breakthrough. He confirmed that the Houthi militia elements are still attempting to retrieve the bodies of their killed elements, while army forces remain on high alert across the western fronts.
The clashes resulted in several Houthi militia elements being killed and wounded, while one army soldier, Osama Yusuf Al-Awni, was martyred during performing his national duty defending the city.
