Defense Minister Meets Military Medical Committee, Stresses Priority of Wounded Personnel

Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Taher Al-Aqili met today with the Military Medical Committee, in the presence of a number of wounded Armed Forces personnel, as part of his ongoing monitoring of their conditions and needs.

The meeting was attended by Assistant of Defense Minister for Human Resources Maj. Gen. Mohammed Batis, Head of the Logistics Authority Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, and Head of the Medical Committee Brig. Gen. Abdulalim Hassan. The minister listened to a detailed briefing on the committee’s work, its role in overseeing the treatment of the wounded, and the main challenges and needs to improve the level of medical and healthcare services provided to them.

Al-Aqili also listened to statements from several wounded personnel, who conveyed the suffering of their colleagues and highlighted urgent issues, most notably delays in the payment of financial entitlements and difficulties in sending some cases abroad for treatment.

The Defense Minister praised the great sacrifices made by the wounded personnel, affirming the ministry’s commitment to addressing all challenges they face, stressing that they represent a top priority for the military leadership. He noted that measures and ongoing reforms aim to improve their conditions and meet their needs.
