Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Taher al-Aqili, praised the role played by the Moral Guidance Department in the national battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias, particularly in strengthening national awareness among members of the armed forces, security services, and the popular resistance.

During his visit to the department on Monday, Lt. Gen. al-Aqili said it had made significant progress in raising public awareness about the dangers of the Houthi ideological project and exposing its dependence on and subordination to the Iranian regime. He also pointed to the ongoing crimes committed by the militias, including the recent sniper attack on a child returning from school in Taiz governorate, describing it as a reflection of the grave violations against civilians.

The defense minister reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to increasing support for the Moral Guidance Department to enable it to carry out its duties in boosting morale among members of the armed forces, raising public awareness, and preparing for the decisive battle to restore state institutions from the control of the coup militias.

During the visit, al-Aqili reviewed the department’s facilities and various sections, commending its efforts in combating misinformation and strengthening national media discourse through its platforms.

He also listened to a detailed briefing from the Director of the Moral Guidance Department, Brig. Gen. Ahmed al-Ashwal, on its recent activities, particularly in the areas of guidance, awareness, counseling, and religious outreach, which contribute to strengthening combat doctrine among armed forces personnel and enhancing their readiness to complete the liberation process and restore state institutions.
