His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met Thursday with the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee Mohammed al-Ghaithi, as part of ongoing consultations regarding the latest political developments and strengthening national consensus on all fronts.
During the meeting, the President listened to a briefing on the Committee’s activities over the past period and its efforts to promote broad national consensus and fulfill aspirations to restore state institutions and achieve peace and stability in the country.
His Excellency the President emphasized the Commission’s pivotal role in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, preserving the cohesion of the internal front, managing challenges with wisdom and responsibility, and formulating joint positions on various national issues.
The President stressed the importance of shifting relations among national components and forces from competition to partnership without exclusion or marginalization, considering that any consensual effort that does not serve the goal of restoring state institutions remains incomplete.
He also affirmed that the partnership with Saudi Arabia represents an element of stability and a fundamental guarantee for completing the requirements of the transitional phase, praising its generous humanitarian and developmental interventions in various fields, including its gracious response to the request to host and sponsor a comprehensive dialogue conference on the Southern issue.
