Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Mohsen Zindani co-chaired the ninth session of the Yemeni-Egyptian Strategic Dialogue in Cairo on Sunday alongside Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
The meetings opened with one-on-one discussions between the two ministers before expanding to include official delegations from both countries.
The talks reviewed developments on the domestic, regional and international fronts, while also exploring ways to expand bilateral cooperation and coordinate efforts regarding maritime security, freedom of navigation and the stability of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
During the session, Dr. Zindani described the strategic dialogue as a key mechanism that reflects the longstanding brotherly and historic ties binding Yemen and Egypt.
He said the continued convening of the dialogue demonstrates the strength of relations between the two countries and the commitment of their leaderships to maintaining consultation and coordination on shared concerns.
He expressed hope that the current round would help pave the way for holding the joint higher committee chaired by the prime ministers of both nations, contributing to broader cooperation and opening new opportunities for partnership in the economic, development and investment sectors.
