Yemen Condemns Iranian Attacks Against Kuwait

September Net

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Republic of Yemen’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the repeated hostile attacks carried out by Iran against the sisterly State of Kuwait, in a blatant violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and security and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional peace and stability while undermining international and regional efforts aimed at de-escalation.

In a statement, the ministry said the Iranian regime’s continued pursuit of aggressive policies, its targeting of neighboring countries, reliance on affiliated militias, and cross-border threats constitute clear breaches of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good-neighborly relations. It warned that such actions reflect a troubling determination to drive the region toward greater tension, instability, and disorder.

The ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its unwavering support for the country’s leadership, government, and people. It also reiterated Yemen’s backing for all measures undertaken by Kuwait to safeguard its sovereignty, preserve its security and stability, and ensure the protection of its citizens and residents.

Yemen further called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by taking decisive action to deter these recurring Iranian attacks, protect regional security, and prevent further escalation and suffering across the region.
